Wheelchair access, step-free routes, accessible restrooms—and where a venue states them, changing tables and quiet hours for noise-sensitive kids. All typed from each venue's official information.
Don’t know what to do today?
We check each place against the venue’s own published information—so you find out about the step at the door before you drive there, not after.
We pick the place, somewhere to eat, and when you’d be home.
Checked against each venue’s own accessibility information.
Your three best options
Something new
Live place data from Google, with TroveUno's own verified accessibility layer on top. Your family details stay in your browser—only a generic location and category are ever sent to look up places. Accessibility tags are a best-effort guide; please confirm specific accommodations with the venue.
Know it will work for your family—before you leave.
Star ratings never answer the question families care about most: will this place actually work for us? TroveUno checks accessibility against each venue's own information—step-free routes, quiet hours, accessible restrooms, changing tables—then plans the whole outing around it: real travel time, parking, cost, and family fit.
VERIFIED FOR YOUR FAMILY
Family evening plan
Accessibility details, checked—not guessed.
A map's “wheelchair accessible ✓” can still mean stairs at the door. We read each venue's own accessibility information and record only what they publish—so a wrong call never strands your family on the sidewalk.
Coarse map signals are shown clearly labeled as third-party—never dressed up as our verification.
Partial access is flagged, not hidden—historic ships, interior steps, unpaved paths. Positives only; unknowns say “check with the venue.”
You should not need six different apps to answer one question:

Museums and children’s museums, aquariums and zoos, gardens, trails and beaches, playgrounds and splash pads, farms, escape rooms, historic sites and live family theater—every activity filter has hand-checked places behind it, so picking one never lands you on an empty page.
TroveUno considers what usually changes the decision.
A highly rated place is not the right choice when traffic is bad, parking is full, or it does not work for your family.
Verified accessibility
Wheelchair access, step-free routes, accessible restrooms, quiet hours for noise-sensitive kids, changing tables—checked against each venue’s own information, never guessed—the detail families need most and can rarely find elsewhere.
Total travel time
Driving, parking, and walking—not just mileage.
Parking reality
Where to park, estimated search time, walking distance, and cost.
Family fit
Kids’ ages, interests, indoor or outdoor preference, and budget.

Straight answers, before you trust us with your day.
The honest version — what we verify, what we don't, and what to do when a place isn't a perfect fit.
Is the accessibility information verified, or just pulled from a map?
We read each venue's own published accessibility information and record only what they state — step-free routes, quiet hours, accessible restrooms, changing tables. Coarse map signals (like a plain “wheelchair accessible” flag) are shown separately and clearly labeled as third-party — never dressed up as our verification. We show positives only; anything we can't confirm says “check with the venue.”
Which areas does TroveUno cover?
Southern California, southern Nevada and Arizona. We are deepest in Los Angeles and Orange County, then San Diego, the Inland Empire, Ventura, Santa Barbara and the desert. Coverage is newer and thinner out along the I-15 and I-40 — Las Vegas, Flagstaff and Phoenix have a handful of hand-checked places each so far, and we are adding to them. Wherever you search, our 2100+ hand-checked venues are combined with live nearby results inside the drive time you choose.
I’m driving into California from Nevada or Arizona — will my disabled parking placard work?
Check before you set off, because the answer may be no. The National Park Service tells visitors to Joshua Tree: “If you are visiting California and would like to use Accessible Parking spaces, you must apply for a California ‘Temporary Parking Placard’ for non-residents, good for up to 180 days. Out-of-state placards are not honored in California.” We are repeating a park service notice, not giving legal advice — confirm it with the California DMV yourself. We raise it because we cover southern Nevada and Arizona, a family may drive several hours on the strength of a placard, and nowhere else in this app would have told them.
What if no place is verified for everything my family needs?
We tell you honestly instead of hiding it. You'll see the closest verified fits — places that meet some of your needs — each labeled with exactly what we've verified and what to confirm with the venue. We'd rather show you an honest near-miss than pretend a place works.
Do you guarantee a place will work for us?
No — and we won't pretend to. We record what each venue publishes as accurately as we can, but details change and every family is different. That's why accessibility notes are best-effort and dated, and we always say to confirm the specifics that matter most before you go. We'd rather say “check with the venue” than risk stranding your family on the sidewalk.
How current is the information?
Drive times, opening hours and parking come in live when you search. Every hand-checked accessibility note carries its own “last checked” date on the card, and the whole set is run through a staleness audit that flags anything drifting — so an old note gets re-read rather than left to rot.

Privacy
This is a service used by families with disabled children. What you search for here is sensitive, and the honest version of a privacy policy is a plain list of what happens to it. Last reviewed 23 August 2026.
What you tell us, and where it goes
To find places we send only your starting location, the kinds of place you asked for, and how far you will drive to our server, and on to Google’s Places and Maps services, which return the places and the real drive times. A weather service receives the same coordinate to return a forecast for your day.
Your children’s ages, your accessibility needs and your allergies are never sent anywhere. They stay in your browser and are applied to the results there. That is a deliberate design choice, not an accident of implementation: the most sensitive thing you tell us is the thing no one else needs to see.
If you type a sentence instead of using the fields
The free-text box sends your words to an AI service to translate them into search filters. Before they leave us we remove words describing who your family is — “my son”, “my daughter”, “my wife” become “someone”. We deliberately do not remove the access need itself, because the need is the question you are asking and removing it would give you a worse answer. If you would rather nothing you typed left this site, use the fields instead of the box.
What we count
We record six things: that a page was opened, that a search finished, that a plan was saved, that a share link was copied, that someone joined the list, and that the surprise button was tapped. With a search we also store a coarse bucket — 0, 1–3, 4–10, 10+ — so we can tell whether searches come back empty.
We never record the location you typed, your email, which accessibility needs you selected, or the name of any venue you were shown. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone for marketing. There is no cookie. A short session id lives in the tab you are using, dies when you close it, and exists only so opening the site and searching are counted as one visit rather than two — it cannot follow you between visits or between sites.
We also log which venue cards get clicked, as a Google place identifier and our own internal category. Nothing about you is attached to it. We use it to decide which places to research and verify next.
What is stored on your device
Everything TroveUno remembers about you is kept in your own browser, not on our servers: your saved plans, your saved places, your family profile (starting location, drive time, budget, ages, accessibility needs, allergies), the coordinate for a location you have already used, and a few flags recording that you dismissed a prompt. Clearing your browser’s site data for troveuno.com removes all of it, permanently, and we cannot recover it because we never had it.
A shared plan link carries the venue, your starting point, date and time in the link itself. No shared plan is stored on our servers. Anyone you send that link to can see what is in it, so treat it the way you would treat any message containing your rough location.
Your email, if you give it
If you join the early-access list we store the address you gave and where on the page you gave it, so we can send you product updates. That is all it is used for. Ask us at hello@troveuno.com and we will delete it.
If you turn on reminders, your browser’s push subscription is stored against a one-way hash of its address so a weekly nudge can reach it. Turning reminders off in your browser ends it.
Children
TroveUno is for the adult planning the day. We do not ask for a child’s name, birthdate, photograph or any other identifying detail, and there is no account to create. Ages are collected only as broad bands — toddlers, young children, big kids, teens — and, as above, those bands never leave your browser.
Asking us anything
Email hello@troveuno.com to ask what we hold, or to have it deleted. TroveUno is in early development and this page will change as the product does; the date at the top says when it was last checked against the code.
Accessibility
Accessibility is the product, so it would be strange to be vague about it here. Last reviewed 23 August 2026.
How we treat accessibility information about venues
Every accessibility fact we publish comes from the venue’s own published information, read by a person, with the date we read it recorded on the card. We record verified positives only. If a venue does not state something, we do not claim it, do not infer it from a similar place, and do not guess — the card says the detail is not confirmed and points you at the venue.
The consequence is deliberate and worth saying out loud: when you filter for an access need, a place with no published information is left out rather than included hopefully. A quiet omission strands somebody at a door; a missing result only costs a scroll.
Where the results include a restaurant we have not checked, the card says so in as many words. A day is only as accessible as its least accessible stop, and a meal is a stop.
We are not the venue. Buildings change, lifts break, and a published statement can be out of date. Ring ahead before you rely on any single detail, and please tell us when we are wrong.
How we treat accessibility of this website
What we have done: one h1 and a heading outline you can navigate; a visible-text label on every form control; a skip link; live regions that announce results as they arrive; controls sized for touch; text that reflows and scales; and colour that is not the only way any status is conveyed. These are checked automatically on every change, so they cannot quietly regress.
We do not claim a formal WCAG conformance level. Doing that honestly requires an independent audit and we have not had one; saying it without one would be exactly the kind of unchecked claim this whole product exists to avoid.
We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Those toolbars promise to fix a site from the outside and do not; several of the venue sites we read carry one while publishing nothing about their actual premises. We would rather build the page correctly.
Known gaps, so you hear them from us first: the site has not been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily, and the planner has a lot of controls on a small screen.
Tell us
If something here is hard to use, or a venue’s accessibility detail is wrong, email hello@troveuno.com. Say what you were trying to do and what happened. Reports about a wrong venue fact get checked against that venue’s own page and corrected or removed.
How this works, and what we don’t promise
TroveUno is in early development and this is not a contract. It is a plain account of what the service does, where its information comes from, and the limits of it — written so you can check it rather than take it on trust. Last reviewed 24 August 2026.
What TroveUno is
TroveUno helps the adult planning a day out. You say where you are starting from, how far you will drive and what kind of place you want; it returns places inside that drive time with travel time, hours, cost and accessibility detail, and can build them into a plan for the day.
We do not sell tickets, take bookings, handle payments or act for any venue. Every arrangement you make is with the venue, on the venue’s own terms. There is no account to create.
Where the information comes from
Two sources, and the difference matters. Live results come from Google’s Places and Maps services, which supply the places near you and the real drive times, and from a weather service for the forecast. That information is theirs, and you see it as they supply it.
Curated records are ours. Each one was researched by reading the venue’s own published information — or its operating agency’s — and each carries the date it was last checked. Curated venues are added to the live results, never substituted for them: a place we vouch for appears alongside whatever Google returns, and never replaces or hides a live result.
What “verified” means here, and what it does not
It means exactly this: a person read that fact on the venue’s own published information and recorded the date they read it. That date is on the card.
It does not mean we visited, telephoned, or tested a doorway with a wheelchair. It does not mean the fact was still true this morning.
Where a fact came from something weaker than the venue’s own site — an operator, or a public record such as a licence — the record says so and claims less. A public record can show a business existed on a date; it cannot describe a doorway, publish a children’s price or state opening hours, and we do not let it. The reason is simple: you can check a website yourself, and you cannot check our phone call. Evidence you cannot audit has to claim less, not more.
Accessibility information — the limit that matters most
Every accessibility fact here is a verified positive from the venue’s own published information. If a venue does not state something, we do not claim it, do not infer it from a similar place, and do not guess.
So when you filter for an access need, a venue that publishes nothing is left out rather than included hopefully. A quiet omission strands somebody at a door; a missing result costs a scroll.
We are not the venue. Buildings change, lifts break, staff change, and a published statement can be out of date the day after it appears. Ring ahead before you rely on any single detail for a journey that depends on it — and tell us when we are wrong, at hello@troveuno.com, so we can re-check it against the venue’s own page and correct or remove it.
Accuracy, and what it is fair to expect
Prices, hours, age limits, height rules and booking requirements change without notice and with no obligation on anyone to tell us. Drive times are estimates that depend on traffic which has not happened yet. Weather is a forecast.
We show you when each fact was last checked so you can judge it, rather than presenting everything as equally current. Where a venue contradicts itself — and they do, including two different sets of opening hours on one website — we record both rather than silently picking one. Confirm anything your day depends on with the venue before you travel.
Your information
The Privacy section has the full account. Three things belong here too, because they are limits rather than practices:
Your family profile lives in your browser, not on our servers — starting location, drive time, budget, ages, accessibility needs, allergies. Clearing your browser’s site data for troveuno.com deletes all of it permanently, and we cannot restore it, because we never had it.
A shared plan link carries its contents inside the link. Nothing about a shared plan is stored by us. Anyone holding that link can read what is in it, including your rough starting point — treat it as you would any message containing your approximate location.
If you join the early-access list we keep the address you gave and where on the page you gave it, and use it only for product updates. Email us and it is deleted.
Google’s terms, and one thing they explain
Places and Maps content reaches you under Google’s terms. Two constraints shape what you see: we may store Google place identifiers indefinitely, and we may not store other Google content — names, ratings, review counts, hours, addresses — so anything of that kind is fetched live each time.
That is also why a venue we have researched is ranked by our own curation signal rather than by a star rating: we are not permitted to keep the rating.
What this page is not
This is not a Terms of Service. It makes no warranty, disclaims no liability and creates no contract, and it should not be read as any of those. TroveUno is at pilot stage and we would rather publish an honest account of how it works than a borrowed legal template nobody has read.
Everything factual above is checked automatically against the code on every change, so it cannot quietly stop being true. If something here does not match what the product does, that is a bug and we want to hear about it: hello@troveuno.com.
